Endodontics

When attempting to treat a tooth’s pulp and surrounding tissues, endodontics is involved. This often involves removing the mouth’s pulp chamber and then repleting it with a suitable material. In some cases, endodontics is necessary when the tooth’s nerve is affected by disease or when the chamber is filled with a loss of teeth.

Teeth consist of 1 to 4 canals, which people refer to as canal districts. Extra canals may branch out and be classified as accessory canals. The number and dimensions of the canals found in a tooth vary. The word endo comes from the Greek language and means “inside.” It refers to the inside of a tooth, which is the job of a dentist who practices endodontics.
